“Makeup shouldn’t cover your skin, it should enhance your natural beauty, not mask it.”—François Nars, Founder and Creative Director of NARS Cosmetics

Skin is my absolute favorite part of the makeup process. You can have an amazing eye look, but if the skin doesn’t look great, it throws the whole look off. Foundation is great for perfecting the skin but today we’re going to talk about a makeup product I can’t live without – concealer. My absolute favorite concealer at the moment is the NARS radiant creamy concealer ($30). I use it to cover dark circles, highlight, and even spot conceal on days I don’t want to wear foundation.

The NARS radiant creamy concealer comes in 22 shades, has medium-full coverage, and has a radiant (hence the name), natural finish. It contains what the brand calls a “multi-active botanical blend” that contacts magnolia bark extract, grape seed oil, and vitamin E to hydrate the skin while providing a flawless finish. It also has mineral tone balancing powder to correct, and light diffusing mineral powder to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Now, onto the reasons I love this concealer so much. The formula is super creamy and the coverage is amazing without feeling too thick under the eyes. I’ve used this on people with all types of skin and all ages and it has looked amazing on just about everyone. My biggest pet peeve with concealers is creasing, and as long as you blend out the concealer (which blends oh so easily) and set with powder, the finish is super smooth and flawless. The concealer is so easy to build without looking cakey, doesn’t cling to any dry spots, and has an all over amazing finish.

When I use this product I use a shade similar to my skin tone to cover my dark circles and blend it out with my beauty blender. Next, I take a shade thats 2-3 shades lighter than my skin – usually 3 because I love a bright under eye (thanks Kim K & Mario!) – to highlight in a v shape under the eye, down the bridge of the nose, in the center of my brows, and once again use my beauty blender to blend it out.
