If you’re a beauty junkie, you know by now that Selena Gomez dropped a makeup line – Rare Beauty. I obviously checked it out right away, but none of the products really peaked my interest besides the Brow Harmony Pencil & Gel. I use pencils, powders, and gels when doing eyebrows, so I liked the idea of having two steps in one product. I’ve been using the product in the color Cool Brown for about a week now, keep reading to hear my thoughts.
To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the pencil side. I prefer pencils that are a little bit on the drier side, like Anastasia Brow Wiz. Selena describes the formula as creamy – which it definitely is, but it can almost feel waxy at times. It makes it a bit more difficult to get that precise. brow-hair-like, definition you want with a brow pencil.
Although I didn’t love the pencil side of the product, I actually do like the gel side. The gel is super light weight, has a slight tint to it that isn’t too dark, and the shape of the brush allows for precision. The gel definitely holds my brows in place, and it makes them look fuller and fluffier – a look I personally love. One of my favorite things about the gel is that the color isn’t too pigmented, so it isn’t completely overpowering after you’ve already filled in your brows.
I don’t think I would purchase this product again – however I would love if they had an option to buy them separately, since I’m a fan of the brow gel. Looks like I’m going back to four different brow products at a time… What do you use to fill in your eyebrows – powder, pencil, gel, or all three?
